What you can expect from me

1. I am committed to help you learn. I am committed to provide informative classes. I will use diverse teaching methods. I will be aware of your learning needs and styles. I will identify tools and methods which enable you to more effectively retain knowledge and apply this information. I will provide access to course material and to additional learning material in the learning center. I will continue to improve this class based upon student needs and student feedback.
2. I will provide answers to your questions. I will strive to make myself available to you. I have set office hours for which I will be available, but I am also available whenever I am alone in my office, as well as before and after class. I will take time to thoroughly answer any questions you may have about the class or about any other matter you wish to discuss. Time will always be available for asking questions during class. I will not be offended if asked to stop to make clarifications or to answer related questions. If I do not know the answer, I will say so, then I will find out the answer for you as soon as possible.

3. I will address your needs. My objective for this course is to help you learn. I will not be critical of your request for additional assistance. I will make adjustments in the course if required, but I will also be available to help you on an individual basis or find the help that you need. I will do all that I can to make this course fully available to all students regardless of physical or mental needs.
4. I will fairly address any problems. I will be fair and objective in my grading standards. However, I will open-mindedly and thoroughly examine any grading issues. Upon examination, I will work with you to fairly resolve those issues.
5. I will address situations of academic misconduct. In fairness to you and to your peers I will address all situations of academic misconduct in a strong and swift manner. This will be done in consultation of other professors. Any such misconduct will result in an automatic 0 (zero) for that assignment and may lead to further consequences.
